UK SIGNED FOR DELIVERY IUNCLUDED

4x 10mm ball mounts included free on all except type 4 (which has M8 thread, 8mm diameter). All other types which come with ball mounts have M4 threads (4mm diameter) holding on the female ball mounts at the ends.

You can unscrew the ball mounts on the end of the struts to fit a different type of mount.

The thread diameter on all except type 4 is 4mm.  Some (such as Truckman, Carryboy & Avenger) have M8 (8mm) diameter threads on the ends of the struts, & do not have the normal ball mounts like in my 1st photo. They have a bracket at the top end that the gas struts screw into (see my 2nd photo). These are my type 4 (see photos 2-3).  So check your thread diameter before you buy. No refunds if you buy the wrong type.

Why pay £60-80 to buy a pair of gas struts from the hardtop supplier, when I sell a similar item for less?!!

Just measure the length of your existing gas strut, when fully extended. Most are approximately 40cm (such as Snugtop XTR, Alpha GSE, Truckman, Carryboy, Mountaintop & most others). Some are 30cm (such as the Snugtop Cab-Hi, Genuine Mitsubishi L200 STANDARD BED 2006-15). Some are approx 45cm (such as 1998-2005 L200 Genuine Mitsubishi hardtops)

For Truckman, Flake, EKO, Avenger & Carryboy struts, you probably need type 4. Check photos 2 & 3.

It usually doesn’t matter if the new gas strut is upto 5cm shorter than your old one, it just means the door won’t open quite so far, but you will barely notice it. If you want new struts slightly longer than your old ones, check that if you open your door further, the top edge of the door will not hit the roof when you open it more.  Also check there is enough room between the upper & lower strut mounts for the strut to fully compress when you close the door.  Usually you can use slightly longer struts.

You can’t just buy any gas struts the right length.  They must have the correct pressure inside them, or they will either not hold the item open, or you won’t be able to close it!  Mine are correct for hardtops, mountaintops, hard covers etc as listed.

I sell 8 different types. ALL THE SAME PRICE. DELIVERY INCLUDED

If your Mountaintop struts have the bottom connector with the hole all the way through, just unscrew your old ones & screw them on to my struts.
